The blue orchard bee, Osmia lignaria, is a native solitary mason bee in the United States and Canada. It is perfect for the backyard gardener as they only fly 50-100 yards, do not sting, and are non-aggressive. They are easy to care for and native super pollinators of fruit and nut trees, and blueberries.
